 Tofino can be described as a hamlet located along Vancouver Island’s west coast; in British Columbia, Canada.

Tofino settlement acquired name for the 1st time in the year 1909; with opening of Tofino Post Office. It had been named in collaboration with ‘Tofino Inlet’ nearby. In the year 1792, Tofino Inlet got named so by Valdes and Galiano, Spanish commanders; to honor Admiral Vicente Tofino. It was under him that Galiano had grasped cartography.

Tofino is said to receive the highest rainfall all over British Columbia. Georgia Basin which includes Gulf Islands, Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, and Vancouver- happens to lie in Vancouver Island’s rainshadow. July proves to be the hottest month; with temperature of around 72 degree F; whereas January to be the coolest; with temperature of around 43 degree F.

Population of Tofino has been estimated to be 1650.

Mizoram

The state of Mizoram lies to the north-east of India lining the border of Myanmar.

More than 70% of the people are still engaged in agriculture. Bamboo is the major export of Mizoram as more than 35% of Mizoram is under the influence of the bamboo forests.
The cultural music of Mizoram is very famous all over the world.
Due to its marvelous beauty and very convenient climate Mizoram has gained a sudden tourist importance.

The state of Kerala in south-western India situated at the Malabar shore of Indian Ocean.
Kerala is one of the most populated states (32 million inhabitants and 820 per sq meter) with the lowest rate of illiteracy in India.
The local language is a Malayalam and the capital city is Thiruvananthapuram.
The state has one of the highest shares of Christians among the Indian states, 19%. Kerala is considered “an eye to Europe” as already in the 16th century, the first Portuguese settled here building the oldest Christian church in India.
For most tourists, Kerala is associated with sandy beaches, coconut palms, tea estates and tropical forests.
For locals, Kerala is known as “God’s Own Country” due to the mixture of incredible nature, culture and art.
It is famous for its variety of arts, including Kalaripayatt (martial art that source of many types of oriental martial arts), Kathakali (one of the oldest Indian traditional dances) and races of snake boats. It is also considered Mekka of Ayurveda.
The climate of Kerala is moderate with the monsoon season from June to August. Temperatures vary from 26 to 32°C, while in the mountains they drop to 21°C.
National Geographic Traveler lists Kerala among “the 50 places of a lifetime”, Travel & Leisure names it “one of the 100 great trips for the 21st century”.

Karnataka

Situated in the southern part of India, Karnataka, earlier known as the State of Mysore is the eighth largest Indian state by area with Bangalore now called as ‘Bengaluru’ as its capital.
The local language spoken largely in this state is Kannada.
Karnataka has contributed greatly to various forms of Indian classical music namely the Hindustani and Carnatic music traditions.
From the wildlife sanctuaries to the famous hill stations like Nandhi Hills and Kemmannagundi, Karnataka is laden with numerous tourist spots just waiting to be explored.
Comprising of innumerable places of religious and historic grandness like the temples of Belor and Halebedu which are also admired for its unique architecture unseen around the world. Many of the temples are also a favoured amongst art lovers.
This place is at its best in the monsoon testifying it to be the best time to visit.

Goa

A derivative from the Konkani word ‘goy’ meaning a ‘patch of tall grass’, Goa is the smallest state in India with regard to area and in terms of population it is the fourth smallest.
Goa is situated in Konkan along the west coast of India.
It is ranked as the twenty fifth state in the union of states of India. The total area of this state is approximately 3702 sq.kms.
Vasco da Gama is the biggest city in this state. Panaji, also known as Panjim is Goa’s capital.
Possessed by the Portugese for approximately 450 years (longest held possessions), their culture is still visible in the historical city of Margao.
Well known for architecture, beaches and temples, Goa is visited by thousands of tourists national and international each year.

Vijayawada




The city of Vijayawada is also called as “The Business Capital City” of Andhra Pradesh because of the huge industrial projects in the vicinity of the city since the beginning of the 19th century. The city is located at a distance of around 275 kilometers from Hyderabad. The city comprises of the north eastern region of the Andhra Pradesh state. The city has been the largest industrial center of India and is still the largest of all in terms of industries. The total area occupied by the Vijayawada city is almost around 46 square miles of land. This complete area is occupied by land and only 3 acres by water body which a lake in the vicinity of the city. When the last census was measured in the year 2009 the population of the city of Vijayawada was around 2,031,711. The climate in the city is very moderate and is mostly cold.

Jammu and Kashmir




Jammu and Kashmir, as the northern most state of India, is located by the Himalayan mountains.

Jammu and Kashmir is the 6th largest (in area) and one of the most scenic states of the country, with varied climatic conditions. It has a population of over 10 million.

Part of this mountainous state, consisting of 3 main hubs: JammuKashmir & Ladhak, and has been a frequent basis for war between India & Pakistan as a disputed region; with some people of the state demanding for being an independent state all together. Lucknow



Lucknow city is the largest city in Uttar Pradesh and the most populated city in the entire country of India. The city is one of the oldest settlements of India. Lucknow city has the history of the Shahi Nawabs ruling the city for almost two centuries. The people of the Lucknow city are known for their manners and great hospitality. Lucknow is emerging as a powerful city in terms of economy and market in India. Lucknow lies on the border of India and Nepal. Sholapur


The city of Sholapur lies on the south border of Maharashtra close to the Karnataka state. Due its border location, the city has a mix of three cultures the Marathi, Telgu and Kannada. The cotton mills in the city are an important factor for the economy of the city. The city of Sholapur is very famous for its bedding accessories specially the “Chaddars” made in the city. These chaddars have acquired a lot of fame for the city since ancient times. The Sholapur city is the 4th largest city or District in the complete state of Maharashtra when it comes to geographical area. The total area occupied by the Sholapur city is almost around 5,748 square miles of land. This area is occupied mostly by land and only 3 acres by a water body which is a lake in the vicinity of the city. When the last census was measured in the year of 2006 the population of the city was around 872,478. No census has been taken after the year 2006 in the city. The typical Indian Subtropical climate is observed in the city. The climate of the city is quite moderate.

Salem



Salem is a major district in the state of Tamil Nadu located in southern India. The other major towns in the district include Omalur, Mettur and Attur. Approaching the city is very easy because it is well connected by railways as well as roadways. Initially it was the largest district in the state but was later divided into two parts as Salem and Dharmapuri. The census bureau in India recorded that the total area of the city was around 40 square miles. The population here was found to be 751,438 according to the census measure in the year 2001 which has been increasing ever since. The major economy producing industries here include the textile, poultry, automotive and many sugar based industries. Salem is very well known for its mangoes that are being exported on a large scale in the nearby towns and villages. The language commonly spoken here is mainly Tamil because more than 85% of the total population here are Tamil. Pongal is the festival that is celebrated with great exuberance. The climate here is of the sub-tropical type because it is located close to the equator. The average temperature throughout the year is thus high ranging between 23 to 28 degrees.
