Kawasaki

Kawasaki can be mentioned as a city situated in Japan’s Kanagawa. It lies between Yokohama and Tokyo.

Kawasaki is the eighth most populous city all over Japan. Furthermore, it’s amongst the major cities which go on to form the ‘Greater Tokyo Area’ and ‘Keihin Industrial Area’.

Kawasaki occupies land which stretches around 30 kilometers along Tama River’s south bank. This helps in getting it separated from Tokyo. The belt’s eastern end, which is centered around ‘JR Kawasaki Station’ is pretty flat and hugely consists of densely-built working-class housing and industrial zones, Western-end mountainous region and ‘more suburbs’. Tokyo Bay’s coastline has been occupied by big ‘heavy industrial complexes’ constructed on ‘reclaimed land’.

Kawasaki’s western region, called ‘Tama Hills’, hugely comprises of residential areas which have been newly developed and connected to capital of Japan by Tokyu Denentoshi Line and Odakyu Odawara Line.
